Onstep Telescope

Building and mounting a DIY telescope GoTo system to a non-computerized telescope. This requires assembling and programming electronics that couple to motors and mounting those motors to the telescope itself. Once built, the GoTo systems will automatically point the telescope at a specified celestial body and then track that object as it moves across the sky.

Machine Learning Fiber Optic Coupler

Developing a machine learning model to couple a laser to a fiber optic cable. Using a microcontroller to program and control 4 individual stepper motors that optimize the orientation of two mounted mirrors, redirecting the light onto a photodiode that informs the optimization.

Laser Scanner

Creating a professional-grade laser scanner that will compute differences between photos with various lasers switched on to determine a 3D image of an object, which will be represented in a point cloud.
